Following the announcements from Buckingham Palace of the sad death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, you will be aware a period of National Mourning has started and will continue until the end of the State Funeral.
The Football Authority has therefore confirmed that all grassroots matches and friendlies planned on 10th and 11th of September will be postponed. Training sessions will continue as planned, in line with guidance. More information can be found here.
Her Majesty the Queen was a long-standing Patron of The Football Association and has left a lasting and indelible legacy on our national game. When our matching resume on the weekend of 17th and 18th September, all our teams will be holding a one-minute silence, as a small tribute to her for her great service.
